Authors note:
I was prepared yesterday to publish this article, and then the Trump indictment bombshell hit. I decided to publish it anyway, as the concerns outlined are still relevant, and I will deal with the indictment saga in the next installment.
Let me say from the outset that I’m not an anti-Trumper. Truth be told, I voted for him in 2016 because I would eat my own .45 semi-auto before I would EVER pull a lever for Hildebag Felonious Von Cankles. That corrupt, disgusting hag should be drying out and splitting rocks in Leavenworth for the rest of her miserable, ill-begotten life. In a just world, that would happen.
So, while Trump was over the top with promises of all the things he would fix, as Trump is wont to do, I figured he couldn’t possibly be worse than that drunken wretch. Lo and behold he did amazing things in the 4 short years he was there. Yeah, there were crazy tweets and plenty of unforced personnel errors, but the man got things done for America. Great things.
What he accomplished, while being endlessly harassed by the corrupt demoncrat party, and their scumbag stenographers in the corporate media, as well as the back stabbers in the Republican party, was nothing short of incredible:
Energy independence, for the first time in, well, EVER;
Cutting regulations that stifled economic growth;
Forcing NATO countries to finally pay what they owed us for defending them;
Dumping the ridiculous Iran agreement and removing us from the equally ridiculous fraud of the Paris Climate Accord;
Restructuring trade agreements, and making headway with China;
Rebuilding a military that was intentionally left in ruins by the eternally corrupted Kenyon;
Keeping us out of international conflicts, while still taking out terrorists that meant us harm;
And getting as much of the border wall done as Congress would authorize the funding for.
I could go on, but you get the idea.
I didn’t care about the crazy tweets he’d post, or the annoying self glorification. That’s Trump being Trump. I cared about the fact that he was limiting the corrupt and overreaching federal government’s involvement in our lives. He worked like a dog - collecting NO salary for four years - and was delivering on his promises. It seemed apparent, to me at least, that the man truly does love this country, and believes in American greatness. I also appreciated the fact that he went after lifetime grifters like Pelosi, Schumer, Biden, McConnell, et. al. And I really appreciated the fact he completely exposed the corporate media for what they truly are - the absolute enemies of the American people. Thus, he certainly earned my vote in 2020.
What I never understood about the man, however, was his penchant for needlessly punching down, and his repeated willingness to trust so much of the sleazy apparatus in the republican party and DC bureaucratic swamp, who worked against him at every opportunity. Moreover, he allowed himself to get played by that disgusting little gnome Anthony Fauci, who convinced him to shut down the country, and played him again with the covid protocols and the so-called “vaccines”.
I get it, his back was against the wall with the Chi-Com flu raging. He had to hope that as despicable as these people in the swamp truly are, they would at least come together and do the right thing in a time of a national emergency. But they couldn’t, because they all played a part in setting that disaster in motion, and were all 100% committed to getting rid of “that odious outsider” who dared to challenge the political orthodoxy that made them all filthy rich.
Time to Ditch the Republican Party?
My personal feeling after the fraud of 2020 was that if Trump should run again, that he do so as the standard bearer of a new party: The Patriot Party / The Constitution Party / The People’s Party. Call it whatever you want, just so it was NOT part of the DC swamp. “But, but, we have a two party system, it won’t work, It will split the vote, blah, blah, blah”… That’s a load of crap, coming from who else but the inhabitants of the current cabal, and the corrupt corporate scumbags in the media who prop these turds up.
Those of us who love America, and believe in American exceptionalism and greatness, who want a limited federal government as our founders intended, know that the two system party - in reality the “uniparty”- currently in place is totally corrupt and beyond repair, as-is. We’re already seeing the same nonsense play out with this new Congress: they bring in the liars, cheats and flat out criminal elements of the swamp and corporate sleazeballs, beat them up for the camera’s and send them on their way with no repercussions, contempt charges or criminal referrals. Did you see Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana berate that little turd Mayorkas for 10 minutes and then pat him on the back and shake his hand when he thought the camera’s were off? It’s right here, in case you missed it:
https://dailycaller.com/2023/03/30/alejandro-mayorkas-stunned-john-kennedy-shoulder-pat-handshake-testimony/
So nothing’s changed, and nothing is going to change as long as we have these same swamp dwellers running this shit show.
Trump will never get real support from these grifters (including the rino’s) currently in Congress. He needs to understand this. They can’t stand him because he’s exposed them as the self-serving ghouls that they are, beholden to corporate donors and lobbyists. Understand that politicians have only three goals: getting elected, getting re-elected, and amassing as much power and wealth as possible during their tenure. Indeed, rather than serving, they loathe and despise the working class - the ones who make this country run. So it is bewildering why Trump, the man who successfully marketed himself as a populist would campaign with the likes of slimy Lindsey Graham by his side. He should be running from a worthless chameleon like that.
Can a Third Party Win a National Election?
We’ve always had third parties in place on the ballot, but they rarely carry more than 3% of the vote. They’ve typically had little money to run a campaign, and were often kooks, or at least painted that way by traditional party candidates and the media. A notable exception was Ross Perot in 1992. He ran as an independent and was the front runner, before unexpectedly dropping out of the race, only to come back months later and still carry 19% of the vote. The fact that he also chose poor James Stockdale (“Who am I? Why am I here?”) as his running mate no doubt scared the hell out of people and cost him considerable votes.
Perot’s platform was popular, however: fiscal discipline, campaign finance reform, lobbying restrictions, and term limits for Congress were attractive policies to a wide constituency of Americans. And this was before the dumpster fire that the country is today. Trump has a golden opportunity to tap the disgust that tens of millions Americans feel towards Congress. He could put enormous pressure on the members who claim to be conservative reformers to pledge serious reforms, the most critical being term limits. The only way we will ever truly regain even a modicum of honesty and service to the country is to put a strict limit of one term on these offices. That eliminates the corrupt influence of lobbyists and other corporate scum buying political favors.
So now Trump has committed to another run for the White House as a Republican. Whether or not he should be running, or deserves another 4 years, while debatable, is not the point of this article. The only salient points that matter to this writer is whether or not he could win, and if so, could he be an effective President again. I’m not talking about “uniting the country”. That ship has long since sailed. As long as we have a large faction of illiterate Americans who believe our Constitution is outdated, and who prefer a massive government, spending us into oblivion, and controlling every aspect of our lives, we are going to remain a deeply divided country. So be it.
Now, Mr. Trump…
Let’s start with the first point, can you win?
This isn’t 2016 or 2020. Throwing personal barbs at opponents isn’t going to work this time. The country is a mess. What’s the plan to get get us back on track, specifically? And no more whining about 2020. Yes, that election was a trainwreck, and yes you were screwed, blued and tattooed. There is no way in hell that corrupt, dithering moron got 81 million votes. We get that. But continuing to relitigate it is nonetheless pointless. It will be up to the state legislatures to fix and protect the entire electoral process in each state going forward. And it’s 50/50 at best that will happen. If you can’t accept those odds (and I wouldn’t blame you if you didn’t), then get out now.
Next, who is going to pay for your campaign? It is sickening how much money is needed to run for office in this day and age, when we have a communication network (the internet) where one can lay out their framework as to how they would serve America. Current campaign financing sets the stage for massive corruption and political favors for big donors. It needs to change, dramatically, and with political pressure, hopefully it will.
Regardless, for right now, you surely know you won’t get much money from corporate donors, who are all in on “wokeism” and global nonsense. They, and the republican establishment have signaled their commitment to Ron DeSantis. Moreover, the rank and file lobs like me have grown weary of giving our hard earned money to the RNC, particularly after they told us to go pound sand and re-elected 4 time loser Ronna (Romney) McDaniel to another term as chair. So are you going to fund this endeavor on your own?
Next, the really hard part
Let’s say you somehow actually pull off the nomination and win back the Presidency in 2024. How exactly are you going to fill a cabinet? Fixing the abject destruction left behind after two more years of Joey Alzheimers and that freakshow of his will take talent and dedication the likes of which hasn’t been seen since… well, ever. Based on your last tenure in DC, working for the Trump Administration doesn’t end with a “golden ticket”, but more likely subpoenas for all involved.
So, what will the lure be to come and work for your team? Understand Mr. President, the people you’ll need to raise this sunken ship may not be as altruistic as you. They’ve seen the carnage of careers and reputations destroyed for the mere notion of serving their country under your administration. Totally unfair? Yep. But they’ll assume that’s what is in store for them if they come aboard the S.S. Trump Salvage Scow. No good deed will go unpunished. Building and supporting a dedicated team of professionals will be Job One. Are you up for it? More importantly, are they up for it?
What’s the Plan?
You will be inheriting an even bigger disaster than you got last time. You don’t need to tell us that, we’re living it. What we need is a plan, with real, doable solutions, and details on how to get it done. Finally, how will you get this agenda passed, even with republicans in Congress, assuming they will still have control of either house in 2025? There’s a lot of bad blood left over from 2020, and quite frankly, most them completely suck and are as corrupt as the dems. But telling them that isn’t going to help
Moreover, surely you know by now, that the only way to truly drain the swamp is to clean house of all of the unelected cockroaches infesting every nook and cranny within the bowels of the deep state. And they will fight tooth and nail to keep that from happening. That is going to require an unbelievable amount of perseverance on your part, and patience with with Congress, whose assistance you’re going to need to sterilize those bureaucratic cesspools. As my mom use to say, “you catch more flies with honey than vinegar”. Are you up for that?
In Closing…
I’m hoping that your intentions of running again are noble, and that you’re asking for my vote because you want to finish the job you started 7 years ago - to make America great again. But until I’m convinced that the above concerns have been allayed, color me skeptical. So far, your campaign seems like the Trump Retribution Tour. Attacking a successful Governor, that you enthusiastically endorsed 4 years ago surely isn’t helping your case. Understand, that even though you were cheated in 2020, you are not owed a second term. It is not about you, but rather the country. And right now, it is an unmitigated disaster, run by satan worshiping mutants, intent on destroying it. Direct your barbs at them, and the filthy, disgusting vermin in the corporate media who prop them up. And focus your energy on developing strategies to get this country back on track for all Americans, as you did before. That’s the Trump this country needs, now more then ever.
The Trump Conundrum
Great article CJ!
Note the following, Article 10 of the US Constitution: "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people." I'll get back to this in a few.
As of this writing, the Donald has been indicted for a litany of bogus charges. His campaign has raised over four million and his popularity number have exceeded 50%. It's still months away from the Repub. convention but it looks like he might be their candidate.
I'm a DeSantis man but if Trump gets the nom, I'll have to vote for him. I'm sure as hell not going to vote for a Demoncrat. You are absolutely correct in your declaration that Trump can't stand on his past laurels or throw cheap barbs at his opponents. Focusing his energy on getting this country back on track should be his main objective but I don't think this will do any good.
Let's say he does win. He will immediately be a lame-duck President. He will have to deal with the same liberal, Commie attacks and deception that plagued him in his first term. And who would be nuts enough to accept an appointment in his cabinet or be his advisors? That's a one way ticket to the political gulag! Unless he had a Repub House AND Senate, none of his objectives would be accomplished. We as a country would be no better off, probably worse off. I have absolutely no faith in our federal "gubment" or any federal institutions, or federal elections to be honest.
So, lets get back to Article 10. I think the only way that this country is going to survive is by the conservative states [red states] forming a Red States Compact, based on Article 10. An RSC would be a "soft secession" and not a "national divorce" that MTG espouses [a national divorce would never work].
Hell, Florida [read DeSantis] is already leading the way, followed closely by Texas [Texas, by the way may well have a referendum on secession from the Union]. I'm pretty sure other southern states would join; probably S. Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho-you get the picture. It's already happening out here in the West. Several eastern counties in Oregon have expressed a desire to join the state of Idaho, forming Greater Idaho.
States that formed/joined a Red States Compact, based on Article 10, could tell Bedpan Joe to stick his executive orders where the sun don't shine! The Compact would simply ignore any Presidential or Congressional mandates NOT adhering to the Constitution and/or Article 10. What the hell could Bedpan or any Demoncratic President do about this-send F-16's to attack one-third to one-half of the country? I think not-that action would make the Ukraine/Russia mess look like a Boy Scout Jamboree!
I think a Red States Compact would work and is the only solution to saving this country. Can't wait for your next installment!
